Congratulations Sally!
Sally Newell, 92, was honored at the Lakes East Niners spring luncheon for 80 years of golfing excellence. Twenty-one of those years have been with the Lady Niners.
Sally grew up in a family of golfers. She began learning the game of golf at an early age. She recalls the lessons learned from her supportive Father, a teaching pro at the Wigwam Resort.
Sally enjoys playing golf with the Niners on Tuesdays and any other day of the week. She can be seen walking the 9-hole course with pull cart and a bag of clubs…except when it’s really, really hot. She is appreciative of a ride once in awhile.
